Giving it to God

1 peter 5:7-Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.

We all know that a negative attitude can ruin everything. Unfortunately, I have been known to possess one of these from time to time. I, recently, have been praying about this daily. It wasn’t that I was not happy, or that I was put out, or even scared. I just didn’t like having to be friendly to people. (I know, I’m a terrible person and I should not admit this to people) but there is a point.

I finally realized that it was the DEVIL! He knew my weakness and he used it ALL the time. It took me a long time to realize this too. (like 30 years!)

I should have relied on God the whole time- duh

“When the path is daunting And every step exhausting I’m not alone…

Hallelujah You carry me every day You carry me all the way Hallelujah You carry me to the You carry me to the cross”

Kutless- Carry me to the Cross

It’s so sad to say, but I would get the worst attitude about going just about anywhere with more than a few people. I don’t have issues with crowds at all. I do presentations for work all the time. I even took a personality test (a little spastic, I know) I was about 50/50 introvert/extravert. So, that is not the problem. But I finally realized what the problem was. It was like when you see a light bulb go off or the clouds opening up.

Not only did I need to work on this, but it was affecting my family too. My husband and I would fight about it and one of my kids really picked up on it. I had to do something.

…so, I pray about it a lot. Especially if I know a situation is coming up or we are doing something I’m not excited about.

Philippians 4:6 “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.”

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 “ Rejoice always, pray continually,  give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
