Matthew 21:21

Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If you have faith, and doubt not, you shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if you shall say unto this mountain, Be removed, and be cast into the sea; it shall be done.

Faith is something very hard to explain.

The actual definition of Faith is the complete trust or confidence in someone or something.

(COMPLETE TRUST) Not questioning, not second guessing…

I think it is easy for us to say we have faith, but I want to challenge you. Do you really have Faith in God? Is it complete, unwavering trust? Not only complete trust but there can be no doubt.

Again Matthew 17:20

He replied, “Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you. ”

I believe that Faith is something you have to feel within yourself. No one else will really know if you have true Faith the size of a mustard seed ( which is one of the smallest seeds there is) It’s something so personal, it’s between you and God, no one else.

Luke 17:6

He replied, “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you.

There is a theme here, and I’m not talking about throwing things into the sea. God wants us to have total faith in him and rely on him for everything in our lives. We need to lean on him for the big stuff and the small stuff. We already know he provides for the birds and the flowers, why would he not provide for us? He calls us his beloved, (his children) the children of God.

So… where does this FAITH come from? We know it comes from God, but how do I get it?

Romans 10:17 Consequently, FAITH comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the WORD OF CHRIST. It’s at our finger tips, in God’s word. It’s in our worship to him.

If you are looking for FAITH, look in God’s Word. Read the BIBLE! Ask God for it, PRAY!

It seems so simple, yet it’s so hard sometimes.

The song “In Christ Alone” is an amazing tribute to God and the Faith we need to have in him. He LOVES us, God will take care of us, even when we see no light at the end of the tunnel.
