It has been a minute since I posted anything. A lot has happened since then. I will not get into all that right now, another time maybe. Just know that a lot has changed. Our life has drastically changed and with change comes new directions. I hope you stick around to see where we go.
Music soothes the soul.
Songs and melodies can ignite passion and stir emotions.

I’ve had a few perfect examples of this recently. When God provided comfort and a peace that surpasses all understanding through music.
The first day of school for Jaden was so hard for us. Only taking half of our hearts to school on the first day wrecked my heart. We tried to stay busy until it was pick up time. But as we were pulling up to the school, we both were at the edge with emotions. As soon as we pulled in the car rider line, Promises by Maverick City Music came on and played the entire time we were in line.
That is one of my favorite songs and we had it played at Jordan’s funeral. But God knew we needed reassurance of his promises at that very moment.
More recently, I’ve been having to drive to Hattiesburg quite often. Which takes me right past the Okatoma River where the accident happened. If you have driven down 49 south towards the coast, you can’t miss them. These signs haven’t bothered me yet. But it’s still a reminder of what we lost that day. This past Thursday, as I passed Collins, I knew those signs were coming and had some anticipation, nothing horrible but it was definitely there. Just as I could see the first sign, the song “Yes, I Will” by Vertical Worship came on and played until I passed the last sign. Things like that always have me in awe that the God of creation knows my needs and cares.
Today is the 20th. It’s been two months today that the Lord called Jordan home. It seems like just yesterday and at the same time it feels like an eternity. In the car we acknowledged what day and roughly what time it was. Again on the radio Promises came on.
“God of Abraham
You’re the God of Covenant
and of faithful promises
Time and time again
You have proven
You’ll do just what you said
I put my faith in Jesus
My anchor to the groud
My hope and firm foundation
He’ll never let you down”
